Operation Uplift: All Hands In
It’s time to uplift technology communities
We’re a team of community builders, organisers and supporters (with the t-shirts to prove it). We know that community groups are the backbone of innovation and collaboration, but the job of organisers has never been more difficult. To continue to do great work, they need impactful support and guidance.
DevEx Connect launched #OperationUplift to put direct funding, support and resources straight into the hands of local developer communities. We’ve committed a total of £100k of company funds, consisting of £100k in funding to DevOps, SRE, Platform and DevEx communities, and an additional £50k each for Azure and AWS communities.
We want this to be a lasting commitment so have also pledged 10% of annual UK revenue going forward for #OperationUplift
We have some big goals for the year ahead:
Support 250+ community events
Develop a national speaker database
Curate a national venue database
Onboard 25 organisation to support local communities
Support new speaker development programmes
Build an open source community organiser playbook
